Software engineering skills that actually get you hired

DevCourseLab runs small, live online courses for people building a career in software — students, professionals switching fields, and self-taught developers. Weekly projects, honest code review from working engineers, and a portfolio that speaks louder than any certificate.

About the studio

A small course studio with working engineers as teachers

DevCourseLab is the teaching studio of BUSBY BRIONA RAQUEL LLC, founded in 2026 in Royse City, Texas. What started as weekend workshops at a local library is now a fully online school with students in a dozen time zones.

We keep classes small on purpose. Your mentor knows your name, reads your code line by line, and tells you the truth about it — kindly, but directly.

  • Live sessions in the evenings and on weekends — a day job never clashes with class
  • Every week ends with a project in your own GitHub repo
  • Lifetime access to materials, recordings, and our graduate community

Why choose us

Built different, on purpose

Anyone can sell you videos. We give you a mentor, a cohort, and a feedback loop that behaves like your first engineering team.

Teachers who still ship code

Every mentor works as a practicing engineer. No professional lecturers reading slides.

Evenings & weekends

Live sessions are scheduled around work and family life. Recordings when life intervenes.

Cohorts of 10–16

Small enough that your mentor spots your weak points — and your wins — every week.

14-day refund promise

Full refund within the first two weeks of any course, no questions asked. In writing.

Testimonials

What our graduates say

Unedited words from students who finished the work — collected with permission from course feedback forms.

Someone here actually read my code and told me why it was bad. That stung for a week, and then it changed how I write everything.
Jordan K., 24Foundations graduate, now junior frontend dev
The mock interviews were brutal in the best way. I walked into my real interview weirdly calm — nothing they asked was scarier than what Diego had already thrown at me.
Amara M., 23Career Track, hired 6 weeks after graduating
I joined from a completely different time zone and never missed a thing — recordings plus Saturday office hours carried me. My capstone review read like a senior engineer wrote it.
Ananya D., 22Backend Engineering graduate
I shipped my first real app during the course — deployed, with tests, and a README my mentor made me rewrite twice. My colleagues asked where I learned all that.
Maya R., 27Foundations graduate
Two years in retail, zero technical background. The evening schedule made it possible, and the mentors never once made me feel behind. I start my first dev job next month.
Devon T., 24Foundations + React graduate
My favorite review comment ever: “This function does four things. Pick one.” I hear it in my head every time I write code now.
Sofia L., 20Backend Engineering graduate
