Foundations of Web Development
HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript through four real projects — a personal site, a weather app, a small game, and a final build of your own choosing. Zero experience needed.

Course catalogEight of our sixteen courses run each season — these are the ones open now. Every course includes live sessions, mentor code reviews, and lifetime access to materials. Prices are shared when you apply or book a call — no tiers, no upsells, no “pro plan.”
Beginner courses assume nothing. Intermediate ones start with a short placement task, so nobody drowns in week one. If you are unsure where you fit, write to us — we would rather talk you out of a course than into the wrong one.

HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript through four real projects — a personal site, a weather app, a small game, and a final build of your own choosing. Zero experience needed.
Beginner
Python from the first print statement to scripts that do actual work: renaming a thousand files, scraping a website politely, and cleaning a messy CSV. Ends with an automation project built around your own boring task.
Intermediate
Components, hooks, state management, routing, and data fetching — plus the part most tutorials skip: accessibility audits and performance budgets. Ends with a deployed portfolio app.
Intermediate
Design and ship a production-style API: authentication, validation, migrations, background jobs, and a test suite you would actually trust. Ends with a deployed capstone reviewed line by line.
Intermediate
Containerize an app, wire up a CI pipeline that runs your tests on every push, and deploy to a real cloud provider on a real domain. You will break the deploy at least once. That is scheduled.
All levels
Resume and GitHub overhaul, mock technical interviews, salary negotiation basics, and a personal application plan. Run by mentors who have sat on the hiring side of the table.
Caching, queues, load balancing, and data modeling — explained with whiteboards and war stories, not buzzwords. Built for developers preparing for their first mid-level interview.
Learn moreFive weeks of real contributions to real projects: finding a friendly repo, reading a codebase you did not write, and getting a pull request merged by a maintainer who does not know your mentor. The final grade is a merged PR.
Learn moreThe price you are quoted is the whole price. There is no “materials fee,” no premium tier, and no moment where we hold the good part behind a bigger payment.
Any course can be paid in two installments — half at enrollment, half at the midway point. No fee, no interest, no credit check. Pick the option at checkout and that is the entire process.
Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program? Send a photo of a valid student ID to info@devcourselab.com before enrolling and we will send back a discount code, usually within a day.
Booking five or more seats — a dev team upskilling, a company training cohort, a bootcamp adding a module? We run private cohorts with custom schedules and group pricing. Tell us what you need.
Most cohorts meet on weekday evenings, 7 p.m. US Central, with a second section at 12 p.m. Central when enough students are in Europe or Asia. Every session is recorded and posted the same evening, so a missed session is an inconvenience, not a disaster. Exact days are confirmed before you pay anything.
Any laptop from the last six or seven years that runs Windows, macOS, or Linux will handle every course we teach, including DevOps Basics. You do not need a second monitor or a fancy machine. If your laptop is older than that, write to us — we keep two loaner machines for local students in the Royse City area.
Most students are working adults between 22 and 40 — career changers, upskillers, and self-taught developers — and the pacing is built for people balancing a job or family. The evening and weekend schedule exists precisely so nobody has to quit anything to join.
Three emails within 24 hours: a receipt, a welcome note from your actual mentor (not a mailing list), and a setup checklist covering your dev environment, the Discord invite, and the week-one prep task. For intermediate courses, the placement task arrives then too. The first live session is where you meet the cohort.
Yes. For groups of five or more we run private cohorts with schedules built around your team's calendar, and group pricing replaces the per-seat rate. Email info@devcourselab.com or call 945-331-4589 and we will work out the details.
