LegalTerms of Service
The agreement between you and DevCourseLab: what you are buying, what you can do with it, and how we treat each other along the way.
The short version: buy a course and you get lifetime access to its materials, live sessions, and mentor reviews — for you, personally. Be decent in class, don't share your login or redistribute our materials, and the code you write in your projects is yours. We promise teaching, feedback, and a portfolio; we do not promise you a job.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service are a contract between you and BUSBY BRIONA RAQUEL LLC, a Texas limited liability company with its address at 6468 County Road 2520, Royse City, TX 75189, operating the DevCourseLab website (devcourselab.com) and courses.
By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or making a payment, you agree to these terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and enroll. If you do not agree, please do not enroll — email us instead and we will happily answer questions first.
2. Who can enroll
- Adults 18 and over may create an account and enroll. You confirm your date of birth at signup.
- Under 18 may not enroll or create accounts. Our courses are designed for adult learners, and we remove under-18 accounts when we discover them (see the Privacy Policy).
You must also be able to attend live online video sessions and have a computer capable of running standard development tools. Placement requirements for intermediate courses are described on each course page.
3. Your account
When you register, give us accurate information — especially your email address and date of birth, since the first is how we reach you and the second determines which enrollment rules apply. Keep your credentials private: you are responsible for what happens under your login. If you believe someone else has access to your account, tell us immediately at info@devcourselab.com and we will secure it.
One account per person. Accounts may not be sold, lent, or transferred.
4. Course access & license
When you buy a course, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- attend the live sessions of the cohort you enrolled in;
- access the course materials — videos, recordings, slides, starter code, and exercises — for as long as we operate (we intend that to mean “lifetime access” for courses you have purchased, and we have been teaching since 2026 without ever revoking it);
- receive mentor reviews and feedback included with your course tier.
You may not share your login, give or sell access to anyone else, record or redistribute sessions or materials, or post course content publicly. “Lifetime access” covers the materials of the specific courses you bought; it does not include future courses, new cohorts of the same course, or one-on-one time beyond what your course includes. If we ever retire a course, we will give enrolled students at least 90 days' notice and a chance to download materials.
5. Payments & pricing
All prices are in US dollars (USD) and are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that cohort — we do not add hidden fees later.
- Price changes. We may adjust prices for future cohorts. A change never affects a purchase you have already completed.
- Installment plans. Where offered, installments split the same total price over scheduled payments; you agree to all scheduled charges when you choose a plan. Refunds on installment plans follow the Refund Policy and apply to amounts already paid.
- Failed payments. If an installment fails and is not resolved within 7 days, we may pause course access until it is.
- Taxes. Applicable sales taxes are added at checkout where the law requires them.
6. Acceptable use & code of conduct
Our cohorts are small on purpose, and one person can ruin a session for thirteen others. So:
- Treat mentors and fellow students with respect — in live sessions, chat, code review threads, and the community space. No harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks, full stop.
- Do your own work. Submitting someone else's code as your own, or cheating on placement tasks and reviews, defeats the entire point of being here.
- Do not share cohort recordings, chat logs, or another student's work outside the cohort without their permission.
- Do not use the platform for anything unlawful, or to probe, disrupt, or overload our systems.
Mentors may warn, mute, or remove a disruptive student from a session. For serious or repeated violations we may remove a student from the course entirely; in that case we issue a prorated refund for the unused portion, calculated under the schedule in the Refund Policy. Students removed for cheating that has already been confirmed are not eligible for a refund.
7. Intellectual property
Our materials are ours. Course videos, recordings, written materials, exercises, and starter code are the property of BUSBY BRIONA RAQUEL LLC, licensed to you as described in section 4.
Your project code is yours. The code you write for assignments and capstone projects belongs to you. You may publish it, put it on GitHub, show it to employers, and build on it commercially. You grant us only a limited license to review it, comment on it, and — with your separate permission — showcase it as student work.
8. Certificates
Students who complete a course receive a verifiable certificate of completion with a unique URL employers can check. Our certificates attest that you did the work and passed mentor review. They are not accredited degrees or diplomas, and we are not an accredited educational institution. We think your reviewed project portfolio will do more for you than any certificate — but we will never pretend a certificate is something it is not.
9. Disclaimers
We promise skills, honest feedback, and a portfolio of reviewed projects. We do not promise employment, interviews, salary levels, or admission to any school or program. Hiring outcomes depend on factors no course controls.
Except as stated in these terms, courses and materials are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Live sessions occasionally move for a mentor's illness or emergencies; we will always reschedule and notify you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BUSBY BRIONA RAQUEL LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data — arising from your use of our courses or site. Our total liability for any claim related to a course is capped at the amount you actually paid us for that course. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Texas law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing info@devcourselab.com; refunds follow the Refund Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breaches of these terms — non-payment, conduct violations, account sharing — after giving you notice and a reasonable chance to fix the problem where the situation allows. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
12. Governing law, changes & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction — though we would much rather resolve things by email first.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes take effect 14 days after we post them and email active students; continuing to use your account after that means you accept the new terms.
